Mandalay city – Royal relics – Local villages – Fishing and dolphin tour

Day – (1) Mandalay City Tour (-)
Exotic Myanmar’s guide and vehicle welcome you at airport/bus station. We are going to take a Mandalay private tour and experience Myanmar’s cultural capital like a local. Begin your day at Mandalay Palace. There’s a lot of ground to cover, so ask your guide to visit the Royal Mausoleums and Relic Tower before large tour groups arrive. Next, head to Kuthodaw Pagoda, where you’ll find a shimmering stupa and the world’s largest book. In the afternoon, follow the faithful and climb the staircases to the top of Mandalay Hill. There are several routes to the summit, so ask your guide to choose one based on your fitness level. Don’t miss Sutaungpyei, a wish-granting pagoda. Take in the sweeping views, then descend at dusk and dig into a feast of Meeshay, rice noodles in meat sauce, a local favorite.
Overnight in Mandalay.
Day – (2) Mandalay Surrounding Villages (B)
Get up this morning in the second largest city of Myanmar. Mandalay is not only ancient city with royal relics but it is very rich in local culture. Today we are about to visit some of most typical villages in Mandalay. Firstly will go to Thayatbain village, famous for local simple people and making brick projects. The view between Thayatabi villages is breath-taking and the green plantation, the fresh air will energies you. We will then go to Nantawkyun village. Old broken palace and tomb of queen in Kongboung Dynasty are waiting for you and have a curious look to Mingun village across the Irrawaddy River, the longest river in Myanmar and the life and blood of Myanmar people. Then will across the Irrawaddy River by ferry boat to Mingun.
The Mingun is older than Mandalay and also ancient village. It’s famous for the world biggest bell, unfinished big pagoda with ruined big lion statue and Myatheindan Zedi. After Min Gun, we will go to Sagaing city, religious city with 400 monasteries and nunneries. Then we will return Mandalay.
Overnight in Mandalay.
Day – (3) Mandalay Fishing (B)
After having breakfast transfer to the jetty. Take a boat for about three hours up river side to the fishing villages. The best time for fishing with the dolphins is early morning and in the late afternoon. Two fisher men come out from their village with cast net and rowing boat in the river. They make sound with the peddle to hear the dolphins. They are very friendly each other and dolphins know the sound of the fishing boat. They come closer nearby boat and looking for the fishes. When they find the school of the fish they raise up their tail and beat the water. It is the sign to shoot the cast net. Fisher man shoot the net to be circle. After watching that we go to visit villages along the river side. Lunch and dinner will be on the boat.
Overnight on the boat.
Day – (4) Back to Mandalay & Departure (B)
The next day morning we go back to Mandalay center. You will have some free time for shopping or enjoying some typical cuisine of Burma before we getting to airport to connect to your next destination of this amazing country.
Important note: we do not guarantee that you can encounter river dolphin. We will try our best to find but very sometime they are out of our spot. We will not take any responsibility for anything due to weather and water level
